In this video, Iâm at the Omnisend headquarters (and yes, I may or may not have âbroken inâ) to answer a simple question: are AI-generated email subject lines actually any good? I put a few AI subject lines to the test for a sneaker brand, and I didnât just rely on my own opinionâI asked people on the spot to react to them. Some were painfully awkward (like âGreetings valued foot ownerâ), and some were straight-up weird (âShoes so fresh youâll lick the sidewalkâ).
The big takeaway: AI can absolutely help, but itâs not magicâand you still need taste. We learned pretty quickly what not to do (for example: donât use âslapsâ in your subject line, and donât force cringe humor). But when Omnisend AI generated something clear and benefit-driven like âRun faster, look cooler, spend less,â it landed because it sounded legit and actually matched what a shopper wants. If you run a store or send a newsletter, I use Omnisend for my own newsletter and Iâd recommend testing its AI subject linesâthen editing like a human.
