Slow Living in Italy | Orange Cake, Homemade Pasta & New Home Decor In today’s cozy home vlog, I’m sharing my new home decor, an easy and delicious orange cake recipe, and homemade pizzoccheri — a traditional pasta dish from the Valtellina region in northern Italy. We’ll spend a slow day in the kitchen baking, cooking from scratch, and enjoying simple, comforting moments at home. I’ll also share some news about my new upcoming book and what this creative journey has meant to me. If you love slow living, cozy home inspiration, homemade pasta, and seasonal baking, this vlog is for you 🤍 My name is Cory, and I live on the outskirts of Milan in a 100-year-old renovated house. I work as a creative producer in advertising and I write screenplays. I’ve recently finished my first psychological thriller novel. About This Video

I’ve been a little quiet lately—two weeks without YouTube, and honestly, without much time to even observe nature. My days were all the same: quick showers and long, strong coffees (Italians, please don’t judge me for the instant coffee) just to stay focused while I pushed through the final edits of my book. After five years and 420 pages, it feels surreal to say it’s finally happening. The publishing house believed in me, the cover is so much more artistic than what I tried to generate with AI before, and the book will be available online on the 23rd, then in bookstores from March 2nd. In this cozy slow living day at home, I bake an easy orange cake because it’s orange season—and it turns out so spongy and soft. I share the exact steps (zest, butter, eggs, orange juice, flour, baking powder) plus an optional orange glaze, and I even roast peppers while the oven’s on. I also show a small home decor reset: I finally swap out my white rug (impossible with a dog and people wearing shoes inside) for a darker carpet that will keep me sane—especially once I fill the house with more plants. To bring back that feeling of togetherness, I invite family for lunch and make pizzoccheri from scratch, the comforting buckwheat pasta from Valtellina with potatoes, cabbage, Casera cheese, butter, and Parmesan. It’s rich, simple, and basically impossible to mess up—especially if you’re generous with the cheese.
