Slow Living in Italy: Mountain Autumn Days, Chestnut Foraging & Cozy Baking Hello everyone! Welcome to my channel! For translations, please click on the CC button. In today’s episode, I’d love to share with you our first days in our new home in the mountains — how I foraged chestnuts and baked them in the air fryer, and baked a delicious apple pie. More about me: My name is Cory, and I live on the outskirts of Milan in a 100-year-old renovated house. I work as a creative producer in advertising, and in my spare time, I write screenplays. I’ve just finished my first psychological thriller novel, a work of investigation. Here you can find the illustrated children books that I wrote under the pseudonym Tina Renolf. About This Video

In this slow autumn vlog, I’m sharing our very first days in our new mountain home—and the kind of simple, quiet routines I’ve been longing for. We start by exploring the area just a few kilometers from our house, where I find little “treasures” in nature (including what look like wild cyclamens, so similar to the ones in my Milan garden). We also visit the Botanical Garden of Conifers in Ome, not far from Lake Iseo, and I already know I’ll be back every season to see what blooms. Back at home, I lean into cozy baking because… let’s be honest, that’s the best part of colder months. I make my easy apple pie recipe (the one I bake every year—several times a season, actually), and I also share a little plant moment: propagating my spider plant so I can have lots of cascading greenery on the balcony next summer. Then we move to one of my favorite autumn rituals—chestnut season. Our mountain house is surrounded by chestnut trees, so I forage, soak them, and bake them in the air fryer (because I learned the hard way that the stove can ruin a pan). It’s simple, comforting, and exactly the kind of slow living I want this channel to be: a haven of relaxation, without judgment.
