Instead of paying £125 for a new board, this fix cost just £5 – saving the customer over £100! I’ll show you how to: Identify the faulty diode on the DA41-00526A PCB Test it with a multimeter Replace it with a new part Get your freezer working again without expensive replacements This repair applies to many Samsung fridge freezers that use the DA41-00526A / DA92-00242C boards. 💡 If you found this helpful, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share to support more repair videos! 🛠️ Parts used in this repair: https://amzn.to/46ffWGT 💬 Drop your questions in the comments, and let’s keep the Hackintosh spirit alive one last time! 👍 Like, Subscribe, and hit the bell for more builds, server projects, and tech DIY tutorials. 🌐 Home Lab Website: https://ishortn.ink/mI5DUxUTy 🌐 Business Website https://ishortn.ink/9bwfRFJMO 📧 Email: corecomputingsystems@gmail.com 🔵 Patreon: https://ishortn.ink/4SMdzRYAh 🌐 GitHub EFI's https://ishortn.ink/4lcchfNf2 📱 Facebook group: https://ishortn.ink/GEanAsLDz

About This Video

In this video I’m repairing a Samsung freezer logic/control board (DA41-00526A) that would normally get written off and replaced for around £120–£125. My mate’s fridge freezer had completely stopped working after he got back off holiday, so he pulled the main board and brought it round. This one has a really common fault: there’s a diode on the board that’s underspecced (it’s a 2A diode that really should be 5A), and when it fails the whole thing can look “dead”. I take you right to the problem area, remove the faulty diode, and fit a replacement part that cost about a fiver. I’m using flux, wick, and careful soldering to get it off cleanly, then I trim and bend the legs properly before soldering the new one in. After cleaning up, I check continuity and re-test the board—no more errors like we had before. The big takeaway: if you’ve got a Samsung fridge freezer using DA41-00526A / DA92-00242C boards, it’s worth checking this diode before you spend a fortune on a new PCB.
