In this video, I compare Wondershare Filmora with MiniTool MovieMaker, two popular video editing tools for creators. After using Filmora for a while, I ran into limitations and annoyances that made me look for alternatives. To my surprise, MiniTool MovieMaker offered a smoother, cleaner editing experience — without the bloat, subscription push, or watermark issues that come with other editors. I’ll walk you through the differences, features, and why I’m now making the switch. 👇 LINK TO MINITOOL MOVIE MAKER 👇 Product link: https://reurl.cc/XAZzNj Minitool Youtube Link: https://www.youtube.com/@minitoolsoftware 🔧 Covered in this video: User interface comparison Editing speed and workflow Export options and performance Licensing differences My final thoughts after using both 🎞 Let me know what you use for editing and if you’ve tried MiniTool! 🌐 Website: https://ishortn.ink/mI5DUxUTy 📧 Email: corecomputingsystems@gmail.com 🔵 Patreon: https://ishortn.ink/4SMdzRYAh 🌐 GitHub EFI's https://ishortn.ink/4lcchfNf2 📱 Facebook group: https://ishortn.ink/GEanAsLDz

About This Video

In this video I’m back on the desktop editing (today it was a Samsung S22 replacement video), and I walk through why I’m seriously considering ditching Wondershare Filmora for MiniTool MovieMaker. I’ve used Filmora for years, but the licensing changes have been a pain—what started as a lifetime-style setup turned into “pay for new versions” vibes, plus constant upsells. On top of that, the newer updates have been buggy for me; I can literally drop a title on the timeline and the whole thing can crash. I compare the day-to-day editing experience: timeline workflow, cutting/splicing, assets, transitions, text/lower thirds, and the overall “feel” of the UI. MiniTool is more basic, but it’s clean, spaced out, and it runs smoothly—perfect if you’re mainly cutting, chopping, and getting videos out fast. The big win for me is the assets: in Filmora it’s easy to accidentally use a paid creative asset and then get billed later, whereas in MiniTool the stickers, transitions, and text elements I’m looking at are free to download and use. If your videos are more content-heavy than graphics-heavy (like mine), MiniTool covers what you actually need without the bloat.
