In this winter decorate-with-me, I’m taking down all of my Christmas decor (yes, I’m a little sad) but I’m so ready for that transition back to calm, cozy, neutral styling. I focus on the living room and dining room first, and I’m doing it slowly because this time of year can feel so awkward—Christmas is over, it’s still winter, and it’s way too early for spring. Once the holiday decor comes down, the house can feel a little empty, so I wanted to show simple ways to keep it feeling warm and styled without buying anything new. I share how I pack and minimize my holiday decor, like fitting ornaments into one bin and donating what I’m not actually using. After the trees are stored away and I refresh the space, I keep a few winter touches that still feel serene—like my snowy wall art from Etsy and pine stems from Michaels (just for now). Then in the dining room, I wipe everything down and create an easy, neutral winter tablescape with a cream runner, a Target vase, and affordable greenery stems from Hobby Lobby. The goal is simple, neutral, and cozy—because keeping it simple really is the best way to go.
