In today’s Christmas prep, I’m finally doing what I’ve been waiting to do—unboxing and putting up my Christmas trees before I decorate. I’m starting in the living room with my brand new Home Depot Home Decorators Collection 7.5 ft Grand Duchess Balsam Fir twinkling tree (the T27). I tried to grab this one last year and it was completely sold out, so I was beyond excited to finally get my hands on it. I walk you through what comes in the box (base, remote, instructions) and share my first impression once it’s up in the space. What really stands out to me is how big and full she is—“full of beauty” is the only way to say it. The branches are memory wired, so there’s minimal fluffing, and the needle tips look super realistic. I also answer a big question I know people have: yes, the tree is dimmable—but there’s no twinkling function in the multicolor option. Then I head into my daughter’s room and put up our Target Philips 7.5 ft twinkling tree from last year, go through the remote features, and of course, we admire the twinkling lights…because that’s my favorite part every single time.
