Hey you guys—this is my very first Christmas Decorate With Me for 2025, and we’re decorating my living room from start to finish. I’m starting on the TV console with a garland moment that I was genuinely excited to try this year: I mixed two cedar garlands (My Texas House + a Holiday Time cedar/pine garland) and layered in stems for the first time. I kept my styling cozy and neutral with coffee table books, gold taper candle holders, a sage LED tree candle, and rustic bells (and yes, I swapped the jute for a satin sage ribbon because it instantly feels more elevated). I also shared one of my favorite budget-friendly tricks—switching seasonal wall art using Etsy downloads printed at Walgreens. Then we move into a few DIYs and cozy details that really make the space feel finished. I added cedar stems and velvet brown bows to my sconces (zip ties are the easiest little hack for attaching bows seamlessly), and I made vintage-inspired ornate frames using $1 Target frames, spray paint, Rub ’n Buff, and vintage Etsy prints sealed with Mod Podge for that hand-painted look. Finally, I decorated the tree with a woven tree collar, layered ornaments in sage, brown, cream, and antique gold, and added pearl beads for a droopy old-world Victorian vibe. I wrapped it all up with cozy couch pillows, cinnamon-scented pinecones, rustic bells, and my favorite HomeGoods candle in Evening Teakwood—because the scent matters just as much as the styling.
