About This Video

In this video I’m sharing a Dollar Tree haul that’s all about getting my toddler’s room a little more “school-ready” (even though his bedroom is definitely not a classroom). Since Adriano is a toddler now and he’ll be starting school next September, I wanted to grab a few things that get his brain working in the morning—like simple, visual learning tools we can look at together right when we wake up. I picked up a few sets of classroom posters that I plan to use like flashcards (colors, weather, patterns, ordinal numbers, counting), and I’ll be honest: I find the sets usually come with one really good sheet and one that’s kind of “meh,” but there are still some gems. I also grabbed some fun creative bits to make memories together—like glitter glue for crafts (and yes, also for my bullet journal), plus bubble wands because the bubble guns keep breaking. And because it’s me, there’s a little beauty/self-care sprinkled in too: press-on nails, face masks (including a hilarious octopus one), and cuticle oil pens that are honestly a must if you do your nails at home or your hands get super dry. It’s a real-life Dollar Tree run, so you’ll also see a few random husband picks (dryer sheets, tongue cleaners, air fresheners, soap bars). Overall takeaway: Dollar Tree has surprisingly useful, inexpensive finds for toddlers and mommies, and you really don’t need to spend a fortune to make a space feel educational and cozy.
