If you’re a stationery girly, you know the pure excitement of a Hobonichi box showing up at your door—and that’s exactly what this video is. I’m unboxing my Yumi Kitagishi-themed Hobonichi goodies and honestly… my wallet is crying, because I ordered straight from the Hobonichi website and paid over $50 in shipping (kind of crazy). I could’ve grabbed things from JetPens and gotten more variety, but I was impatient and I wanted it now. I show you the little “page saver”/pencil board with the adorable today tab, and I talk about why I like having something underneath my page so I’m not embossing the sheets below (and hopefully catching any marker bleed). I also picked up two super cute file folder inserts—one with cats and one with picture frames—so I can finally keep receipts and medical papers tucked into my planner in a dedicated spot. And the star of the haul is the cover-on-cover, which is basically my way of protecting an expensive cover so it stays clean and cute. I also share why I skipped the actual Hobonichi planner (thin paper + price), even though I’m slightly regretting it because the dailies are so tempting.
