We headed out on Lake Superior in search of staging king and coho salmon with a backup plan of walleyes. The deep bite was slow, so we switched gears and slid in shallow… and what happened next blew us away. In just 15 feet of water we stumbled into a mixed bag that most anglers would never expect. Not only did we find aggressive walleyes, but also staging king salmon, coho salmon, and to our shock a channel catfish roaming shallow! While the fleet was working deeper water and struggling to catch anything, we struck gold by doing the opposite.
