After an incredible first day of fishing and camping in Wisconsin's Northwoods, it was time for Day 2. The morning started before sunrise with coffee, oatmeal, and a quiet campsite before heading back onto the water to see if the pattern from Day 1 would continue. After catching more fish on the first lake, I packed up camp and made a move to completely new water. With only a few hours available before heading home, the challenge was simple: break down an unfamiliar lake as quickly as possible and find active fish. In this video, I walk through my thought process, the clues I look for, and how I narrow down productive water when time is limited. The results were better than I expected, ending the trip with a beautiful Northwoods walleye and a great reminder that you don't need days of scouting to find success on a new lake.
