In this video, I’m going through every overdrive model inside the Valeton GP-200 and showing you what’s actually going on under the hood. The GP-200 has a bunch of drive options (Green OD, OD-9, Yellow OD, Penesas, Swarm, Super OD, Scream OD, Blues OD, Force, Tube, Blues Master, Master OD, Taichi OD, Timmy OD, Precise OD, and Empire OD), and Valeton can’t use the exact pedal names—so I point out what each model is based on using the descriptions right next to the pedal image. The main goal here isn’t to do a full tone shootout for each pedal (I’ll cover them in separate videos), but to make sure you understand the core parameters so you can dial in amazing tones fast. I break down Gain, Volume, and Tone (and why Tone is basically like a treble control), plus I demo how the changes can feel subtle in a full rig but still go a long way. I also highlight the Scream OD extras—Fat and Air—where Fat adds more low end and Air opens up the top end with more overtones.
