In this beginner-friendly watercolor session, I’m walking you through how I paint easy watercolor roses from three different angles: a top view, a side view, and a ¾ view. I keep everything slow and relaxed on purpose—because I want this to feel like your calm place, not a performance. You’ll see how I build a rose by starting in the center, using simple petal shapes, and letting the water do some of the blending work for that soft, loose floral look. After we practice the three perspectives, we move into a real-time paint along where I create a wild rose stem with multiple blooms. I share how I think about flow (so the stem feels natural), how I group flowers and leaves, and how I keep my values gentle while still adding enough contrast to make the roses read clearly.
