In this November study recap, I’m basically living my best “I feel like a uni student again” life—except I’m juggling advanced Japanese, lower-intermediate Mandarin, and a linguistics course at the same time. I walk you through my monthly goals first (because for me, goals only work when they’re tied to a system), and then I break down what I actually did week to week to keep everything moving without burning out. On the Japanese side, I share how I managed to read 10 books in one month and what helped me stay consistent—especially the way I mix “fun immersion” with more academic Japanese practice when I need structure. For Chinese, I talk about how my online lessons are going, what I’m focusing on right now, and how I’m using HSK-style materials without letting test prep take over my whole learning life. And finally, I recap my linguistics studies (hello sociolinguistics!) and how studying accents, attitudes, and identity is influencing the way I think about language learning as a whole.
