Today was a super casual Sunday morning unboxing and first impressions of Lattafa’s new Cities Collection from the Lattafa Pride line: New York The City of Dreams, London The City of Contrast, and Love in Paris. I sprayed each one on paper, let them sit into the dry down, and then came back to tell you exactly what I’m picking up—because the dry down is where the truth shows up. I also shared the official note breakdowns and whether any of these feel like they’re inspired by something you already know. New York The City of Dreams is absolutely giving Mind Games French Defense—like, the opening was the exact same to my nose. But the dry down? That cherry is sweet, realistic, juicy, and relentless, with woodiness and a faint rose in the background, and I’m honestly shocked at how stellar it is straight out of the box. Love in Paris (allegedly a Quentin Bisch creation) is gourmandish: caramel up top, then it turns into this biscuit/bread vibe with maple syrup, tonka, a touch of patchouli, and vanilla-leaning warmth—interesting, but I need skin time because I’m not into smelling like bread. London The City of Contrast was my favorite of the three: citrus + ginger, a white floral bouquet that reads neroli/orange blossom to me, creamy woods, present (not animalic) musk, and balanced vanilla—freshy vibes, but not a basic freshy.
