I’ve reviewed the latest and greatest everything, but my daily setup is still built around older gear that simply works—like my 7-year-old Dell ultrawide, my stacked ultrawide monitor layout (which I’ll never go back from), and a bunch of accessories I’ve abused but kept because they’re reliable. I break down what’s actually worth spending money on (for me: bed, pillows, and a proper chair), what I regret buying (yes, the “latest and greatest” can be a trap), and what has aged surprisingly well—my Herman Miller Embody, Audioengine A5+ speakers, my Mode Sonnet keyboard, and even my gross-but-loved G502. I also show you the less glamorous side: dust, deep cleans every 6 months, rewiring once a year, and the reality of lighting failures and desk motors giving up. To keep the space clean, I use the Roborock F25 GT for quick wet/dry spot jobs and the Saros 10R to automate the office cleanup.
