In this House Tour 2026 video, I’m walking you through what the home looks like right now—two months in—while I’m still in that “boxes everywhere, nothing is permanent yet” phase. I show the living room setup that’s basically 95% done (minus a mirror and a few tweaks), the kitchen that’s 99% done with full custom cabinetry, and the coffee/dining area that’s still a work-in-progress. I also talk about the little realities nobody warns you about: old floors we sanded and varnished, paint cracks that need filling, awkward spaces that changed purpose, and how many projects pile up when you move into a bigger place. Upstairs, I show the guest rooms, the not-finished linen closet situation (custom shelves that now need cutting because I had to re-do the drywall), my wife’s temporary office setup, and the master bedroom that’s going to change massively. I’m also building an IKEA PAX closet system because, honestly, IKEA is underrated—especially for the price. Then we go down to the basement, which is going to be a serious project: open concept layout, my future office room (currently a cable disaster), the mechanical/home lab area, laundry room relocation, and the basement bathroom that’s close but still needs small fixes. And yes—cleaning a bigger house is a whole different game, so I’m using the eufy Omni S2 to keep the place fresh while I focus on building the setups and finishing rooms.
