In today’s video I’m sharing our newest Maileg treasures for my daughter’s fourth birthday—right before I wrap everything up for her party. I’m a little worn out (I decorated all night), so give me some grace, but I knew I had to film because so many of you have been patiently waiting for an updated Maileg video. This was a collaborative birthday haul with gifts from my mother-in-law and my brother-in-law, plus the pieces we picked out to add to her collection. I unbox a mix of new Maileg characters and accessories, and I talk through sizing as I go—especially the bigger “adult” mice versus the little brother/sister size, and how certain furniture pieces fit best depending on your child’s age and how they play. I also share why I’m loving Maileg’s newer metallic furniture (it’s so sturdy), and I’ll be honest about how some of the wooden pieces can feel more fragile for younger kids. The big highlight is the brand-new SuitCasa travel house. I grabbed it so fast because we already love having a portable Maileg setup for trips, and this one is perfect for my littlest. I show the rooms, the built-in bedding, the little drawer storage, and how all the new furniture ties together for simple, open-ended, imaginative play.
