In this video I tried the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella TECA Ampoule for about 1–2 weeks and shared my real-time check-ins plus final thoughts. Going in, I expected this to be an “elevated” version of the original Madagascar Centella Ampoule—still centered around that Centella comfort, but with a more complex ingredient lineup aimed at redness reduction and soothing. I also called out the brand claims I care about (vegan, cruelty-free, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, recyclable packaging) and what I was specifically watching for: texture, finish, how it sits on skin, and whether it works best as a standalone serum or a booster mixed into other steps. On first application, it surprised me with how watery and weightless it is—it dries down fast, doesn’t leave much of a finish, and feels like it disappears into the skin. Because I was dealing with sudden dryness, sensitivity, and visible redness, I was really hoping for instant calming, but for me this wasn’t an immediate “one and done” soother. Over time though, especially while my skin was flaring with acne from a previous product, I did notice it helped reduce redness and felt more balancing than the original Centella Ampoule. My takeaway: if the original feels too simple or not potent enough for you, this is the lightweight, more complex soothing treatment worth trying—especially if you have oily skin and still want calming hydration.
