America spends tens of billions of dollars every year on homelessness, and yet it’s worse than ever. In this video, I walk through the uncomfortable question a lot of people don’t want to ask: what if homelessness doesn’t get “solved” because solving it would end the money? When you’ve got whole careers, departments, nonprofits, and political platforms built around managing homelessness instead of ending it, you start to see why tent cities and encampments keep growing no matter how much funding gets announced. I share what I’m seeing in real life—shelters beyond capacity, lines out the door, and people trying to survive winter weather with nothing but tarps and blankets. I also talk about how we’ve been conditioned to look down on people on the street, like it’s always their “choice,” while we live in a country that claims it’s the richest in the world. If we can talk about trillion-dollar budgets and endless spending, then we can talk about accountability, audits, mismanagement, and documented fraud—and why the system that’s supposed to help often seems to make the problem worse. This isn’t about blaming the homeless; it’s about questioning why the machine built to help them isn’t working.
