🏡My Vlog Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ShePreparesChannel?sub_confirmation=1 Since 2020, life in America has changed dramatically as inflation, the rising cost of living, economic uncertainty, layoffs, supply chain issues, and growing concerns about the future affect everyday Americans. Many people feel like something shifted, but few are talking about it openly. In this video, we discuss why life hasn’t felt the same since 2020 and why more Americans are quietly waking up to the changes happening around them. From the cost of groceries and housing to job insecurity, debt, and the pressure many families feel just to stay afloat, the reality of today’s economy is becoming harder to ignore. If you’ve felt like things are different lately, you’re not alone. Across America, people are noticing the strain of inflation, higher interest rates, a slowing economy, and the growing sense that the system is under pressure. In this video we explore what may be driving these changes and why so many people are starting to rethink preparedness, financial resilience, and self-sufficiency. As uncertainty grows, more individuals and families are looking for ways to adapt, stay prepared, and protect their future in an unpredictable world. _______________________________________ 🎙️OUR PODCAST CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/@TheNewExodusPodcast?sub_confirmation=1 @TheNewExodusPodcast _______________________________________ 🏡MY VLOG CHANNEL: She Prepares https://www.youtube.com/@ShePreparesChannel?sub_confirmation=1 @ShePreparesChannel _______________________________________ 📧 CONTACT: Info.ahomesteadjourney@gmail.com ►Our Amazon Store: https://www.amazon.com/shop/ahomesteadjourney?ref_=hype_hm_sf_e ►Instagram: instagram.com/ahomesteadjourney ►Find me on Rumble here: https://rumble.com/c/AHomesteadJourney Disclaimer: All content found on the A Homestead Journey YouTube Channel, and related social media, including: text, images, videos, or other formats were created solely for informational and entertainment purposes only. About This Video

Since 2020, I’ve felt a shift in America that I can’t unsee—and I know I’m not the only one. In this video I talk about that “sleepwalking” feeling: watching people go through the motions while the cost of food, housing, insurance, and just basic living keeps climbing. I share why so many conversations that used to be dismissed as “fringe” are now happening at the dinner table, at work, and online—because the math doesn’t math anymore, and trust in institutions has collapsed. From my homestead preparedness lens, I’m looking at the bigger picture: when people don’t trust the story they’re being sold, they start asking different questions. I talk about the anger people feel when billions disappear with no accountability while families are squeezed harder every month—and then get shamed for noticing. I also touch on the tightening “window of freedom,” including fears around digital ID, travel restrictions/“essential employee” language, surveillance tech, and how quickly life can become harder to navigate if you’re trying to stay independent. My takeaway is simple: the old “everything will be okay” era is gone, and it’s not coming back. So the question becomes: do we stay quiet and let it play out, or do we get serious about resilience—financial, practical, and personal—for our kids and grandkids?
