Things have changed since 2020 and Americans are feeling the cost of living crisis, inflation, rising prices, job layoffs, and a deep cultural shift that’s hard to ignore. Something is very different about life in America right now, and people everywhere are waking up to it. In this video, we talk about the quiet realization spreading across the country as everyday Americans notice the economy tightening, communities changing, trust eroding, and a growing sense that the American way of life is not what it used to be. From grocery bills and utility costs to job security, housing, and the pace of modern life, many people sense that we’re entering a new chapter. This isn’t just about politics or headlines. It’s about a shared feeling that the ground beneath us has shifted. More families are questioning the system, rethinking priorities, turning to preparedness, self-sufficiency, frugal living, and a return to simpler values. If you’ve felt like something is “off” but couldn’t quite put it into words, you’re not alone. Americans across the country are recognizing the signs, adapting, and searching for stability in uncertain times. Let’s talk about what’s really happening, why so many people feel it, and what it means for the future of America. _______________________________________ 🎙️Watch our new podcast! https://www.youtube.com/@TheNewExodusPodcast _______________________________________ 📧 Contact: Info.ahomesteadjourney@gmail.com 💛 Our Amazon Store: https://www.amazon.com/shop/ahomesteadjourney?ref_=hype_hm_sf_e 💛 Instagram: instagram.com/ahomesteadjourney 💛 Find me on Rumble here: https://rumble.com/c/AHomesteadJourney ►Disclaimer: All content found on the A Homestead Journey YouTube Channel, and related social media, including: text, images, videos, or other formats were created solely for informational and entertainment purposes only. About This Video

Lately I feel like I can’t be the only one looking around and thinking, “Is everybody sleepwalking?” Since 2020, something has been very different about life in America, and you can feel it in your bones—grocery bills, housing, job security, the pace of life, and even trust in institutions. In this video I talk through that heavy, quiet realization a lot of people are having: the life we thought we had—the future we planned and saved and worked for—feels like it’s gone, and it’s not coming back the way it was. But I’m not sharing this to make you spiral. I’m sharing it because you’re not alone, and because we’re at a crossroads. There’s a real grieving process when you “wake up” and realize things aren’t as they seem, and it can create distance with friends and even family when they don’t see it. My takeaway is simple: don’t give up, don’t let yourself be pushed into fear and depression, and don’t outsource your thinking to headlines designed to manipulate your emotions. Do what you can do here on earth—prepare, simplify, get practical—and always remember God is greater.
