In today's video I share with you my toddler's updated busy bag. My son is 3 years old but this could be adapted for older or younger children. This is a DIY activity kit that should take you only a short time to assemble but will give your toddler an hour of fun activities. About This Video

In this video I’m sharing what’s in my son’s updated busy bag. Samuel is three, and I’ve put together a little DIY activity kit that’s quick to assemble but genuinely keeps him entertained when we’re out and about—think restaurants, church, or anywhere you need your toddler to be “chilled and happy” for a bit. I use a wash bag (meant for toiletries!) and split everything into simple sections so it’s easy to grab and rotate. I show you a few of my favourite low-prep activities: animal magnets wrapped in brown paper for an extra “unwrapping” element, with a traced matching sheet to make a little makeshift puzzle; a pasta posting activity using an old sprinkles tub; and a colour matching/gluing activity using sweetie wrappers and a glue stick. I also pop in a small colouring book with Peppa Pig stickers, some pegs for fine motor play, and a handful of magnetic tiles because he absolutely adores building little houses and rockets. To round it off, I include pom-poms with tweezers for a simple transfer activity, number/animal cards for counting and matching, and a little “order” game using toy animals/people, wooden biscuits, and magnetic tiles as pretend food. Everything is calm, portable, and adaptable for slightly younger or older children.
