There are so many different baby wipes brands in UK supermarkets—different textures, smells, thickness, price… and I kept thinking: which one is actually the best? So I went on a bit of a mission. I went to Aldi, Lidl, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s, grabbed every pack I could find, and properly tested them (yes, on my own baby) to see what’s worth your money and what’s just not. I start with the ones I’d genuinely avoid. For me, Asda Smart Price was right at the bottom: thin, horrible texture, soapy, and you end up using loads. I also really didn’t like Hops Soft & Gentle or fragranced wipes in general—if it feels soapy on my hands or smells strongly, I’m just not into it. Then I go through the “decent” mid-range options (including some really solid Aldi and Lidl picks if you’re on a budget) and finish with my top tier. My winner overall was Rascal & Friends (thick, resealable, biodegradable, no fragrance), with Water Wipes still being the wettest and brilliant for newborn skin, and Eco by Naty feeling super thick and luxurious. My big takeaway: you often get what you pay for, but there are a few exceptions where the value is genuinely great.
