About This Video

In this video I’m sharing my most recent ASDA food shop and our meal plan, all on a budget of about £60 (it came to £57) for nine days. It’s mainly for me and my little ones (Samuel and Noah) because my husband Philip is away for five days, and then working a couple more, so I’ve planned meals that are genuinely easy to pull together when you’re on your own with kids. I talk you through the dinners I’ve got written down: salmon pasta (I already had the salmon), baked potatoes with tuna, chicken korma, sweet potato chips and fish fingers, sausage pinwheels, meatballs, pork slices and chips, sausage and mash, and crispy chicken with potatoes. I also share the lunch bits and snacks that make the week run smoother—fruit, salad bits, bread, eggs, pasta, yoghurt, and a few convenience foods for nursery lunches and those busy moments. My big takeaway is that having a simple plan (and a few shortcuts) keeps the week calmer, especially when you’re juggling little ones and trying to stay on top of routines.
