About This Video

In this video I’m sharing our weekly ASDA shop for a family of four (including my toddler, Samuel, and baby Noah who’s only just started eating). I walk you through our meal plan first so you can see exactly how I’m using what we buy: spaghetti bolognese, chicken korma, bacon and mushroom pasta with parsley, a sneaky courgette pie, homemade fish fingers with sweet potato chips, and salmon and pea risotto (again with parsley). I also plan ahead for busy evenings by making Samuel extra sausage pinwheels for the freezer. This whole shop came to around £30 because I’m intentionally using up our freezer stash and pantry staples (we already had things like rice, pasta, some chicken, sweet potatoes, and even smoked salmon in the freezer). I share the little details that make a difference for family life—like buying 24 eggs because we go through loads, grabbing full-fat milk for the little ones, and using simple “sneaky veg” tricks (courgette grated into a cheese sauce, carrot mixed into pinwheels) to support picky toddlers. If you’re trying to keep costs down and keep meals calm and doable, this is exactly the kind of realistic weekly shop I do.
