To my eyes, if you ignore the truss rod cover, it looks like a Standard/Traditional minus the body binding. You’re also getting Burstbucker Pro pickups and the same style bridge and hardware you see on much more expensive models.

I’ve owned a $7,000 Custom Shop Les Paul, and even though it was amazing, I didn’t reach for it because it was uncomfortable for long periods and I’d never want to wreck my shoulders on a gig. With this Studio, besides things like body binding, you’re getting a lot of the same core experience. My take is: if you’re actually going to play and gig the thing, value and comfort matter more than the badge.
