If you’ve ever wanted a true Les Paul Standard without the boutique price tag, this might be the most slept-on Gibson of the year. And I've owned $7,000 Custom Shop Les Pauls...this one is better... In this video I break down why the Gibson Les Paul Studio LTD Goldtop is essentially a modernized Standard: • Ultra Modern Weight Relief for a lighter, more comfortable Les Paul • Coil Tapping for true single-coil versatility • The classic poker chip toggle switch • The same iconic hardware, feel, and layout as the higher-end models • Goldtop finish that looks straight out of a custom shop piece • All the tone, sustain, and attitude of a Standard minus the binding I’ll walk you through tones, build quality, playability, and why this year’s Studio is easily the best value Gibson is offering. If you’re shopping for a Les Paul, debating Studio vs Standard, or just want to hear one of the most feature-packed Studios Gibson has ever released, then this is the video you need to watch. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My name is Zachary Seif, and I am a professional guitarist from the NYC Metro Area. About This Video

In this video I’m breaking down why the Gibson Les Paul Studio Limited Goldtop is, in my opinion, Gibson’s best-value Les Paul right now—and honestly the exact definition of what I want in a Les Paul. I’ve only featured a handful of Les Pauls on my channel because the design is usually outdated for what I do: they’re heavy, upper fret access is rough, necks can feel thick, and tuning stability can be questionable. I even bought a $7,000 Custom Shop Les Paul years ago, and as incredible as it looked and sounded, I barely picked it up because it was uncomfortable for long sessions and I’d never want to gig it. Fast forward to a Guitar Center VIP sale and I spot this Goldtop—immediately I’m in, because I’ve been itching for a gold guitar (it fits my wedding band, The Ever After Band, and my new sparkle gold JH Audio in-ears). The shocker: it’s a Studio, but it feels like a modernized Standard. It’s light thanks to ultra modern weight relief, it’s got a super thin slim-taper neck (close to Gibson’s thinnest 60s carve), and it includes push/pull coil tapping for extra versatility. You’re also getting Burstbucker Pro pickups and the same core hardware/layout you see on much pricier Les Pauls—minus the body binding. I’ve already got it set up for upcoming gigs, and you’ll definitely be seeing more of it.
