Fulltone hit me up to revisit three pedals that have basically cemented themselves as classics: the Mini Deja Vibe Mk II, the OCD Germanium, and the Full-Drive 3. In this video I walk through what each one does, how it feels under the fingers, and where it sits sonically—because that’s the stuff that actually matters when you’re trying to build real-world touring and studio tones. The Mini Deja Vibe Mk II is that late-’60s Univibe thing done right: darker, chewy, syrupy, and honestly just hypnotic. It’s got the right blend of modulation, phasing, and “vibe,” and even with the speed dimed it stays musical. Then I dig into the OCD GE, which keeps that open, uncompressed OCD character but adds a matched pair of germanium diodes for a wider clipping threshold and a more amp-like feel. I run it into a super clean ’68 Fender Bandmaster and the Plexi channel of my Friedman BE-100 Deluxe so you’re hearing the pedals do the work. Finally, the Full-Drive 3 is a modern upgrade to the Full-Drive lineage with a redesigned circuit and a more natural, touch-sensitive response thanks to JFETs in the input and op amp stages. Between these three, you can cover a ton of ground—from clean boost to higher gain saturation to trippy modulation textures.
