About This Video

In this video I break down the IEM setups I actually use day to day—because people keep asking me “out of everything you own, what do you really reach for?” I split it into two main buckets: my sit-down-and-enjoy rig (about 20% of my listening) and my true daily portable setup (about 70%). The last 10% is just random—testing new amps, new gear, or chasing a different flavor. For my “enjoyment” setup, I’m running the Elysian Fugaku with an Effect Audio pure copper 8-strand interconnect into the Lotoo PAW Gold Touch. I use Fugaku because it’s insanely versatile and, for me, it has the best mids I’ve ever heard—great separation, full body, and a powerful, exciting presentation. It’s not the absolute best at every single thing (sparkle, stage, or extra punch can be found elsewhere), but it’s close enough across the board that I can throw almost any genre at it. For daily portable use, I go wireless with the iFi GO pod paired to the 64 Audio U4s. GO pod is the closest I’ve heard to a cable in wireless form—powerful enough for most IEMs, and it sounds great on iOS or Android (with aptX HD). The U4s wins for comfort, size (it sits close to flush), and being a killer all-rounder around the $1,000 mark.
