In this video I review the SYNCO XView M4, a MagSafe-style wireless phone monitor that’s made for creators who shoot with their phone’s main camera. SYNCO is known for audio, but this is a really unique solution: a small “mini TV set” that connects over Miracast/Wi‑Fi with ultra-low latency, fanless design (so no extra noise), and a full-angle TFT display. I unbox it, show what’s in the package (monitor, USB‑C cable, and a magnetic ring sticker for non‑MagSafe phones), then walk through the buttons for brightness/volume and screen rotate/flip. I also demo how I pair it to my Xiaomi phone, and how the screen can double as a Bluetooth shutter button—start/stop recording directly from the monitor. Then I show real-world setups: top-down shots in my studio, studio talking-head with a panel light, and handheld selfie use with the main camera. My big takeaway: once you have a powerful phone camera (especially with a 1-inch sensor style look and natural bokeh) plus a wireless monitor, it’s hard to go back—you carry less and capture more. I do point out a couple things I want improved: the exposed power switch can get triggered in a bag and drain battery, and I really want a frame/clamp system (and ideally a carry case) to make the phone + monitor combo more stable and pocket-safe.
