About This Video

In this video I tested the CaTeFo Star150 digital 2.4GHz wireless microphone system, and the main idea is simple: one receiver + four transmitters means four individual channels at the same time—and with the bonus mic on the receiver, you can actually get up to five microphones mixed down into one track. I walk through the full design: the protective case, magnetic clip system (those “secret magnets” are really handy), the charging case with a built-in 2000mAh battery, and the cables/adapters that make it plug-and-play across different devices. Then I move into real-world audio tests. I record with my mirrorless camera using the USB-C to TRS setup, and I also show a clean Pocket 3 workflow using the 90-degree USB-C adapter, including pass-through charging so the Pocket 3 can power the receiver on the go. I demo the one-tap noise reduction (before/after), and I also switch to the receiver’s onboard microphone by powering off the transmitter and double-tapping—this is a clever option when you’re the photographer/vlogger and you still want to talk to camera while recording multiple people. At the end, I share one more accessory tip: CaTeFo’s side handle/rig solution for more ergonomic shooting.
