In this video I’m unboxing a couple Uncle Straps pickups from their Black Friday sale—some end links for my existing US1450/1450-style bracelet, plus a Z199 bracelet (and an extra clasp) for my Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical. Uncle Straps shipped everything out fast, and I love that they package the end links with a divider so they don’t clink together and get scratched up in the bag. Little stuff like that matters when you’re dealing with finishing and fit. The main goal here was giving my Omega Speedmaster another shot on a different bracelet. The factory bracelet just isn’t that comfortable for me, and I’m not really trying to drop around a grand on the OEM option. I swap the end links onto the bracelet I already had, get it mounted up on the Speedmaster, and then do a quick wrist check on my 6.5" wrist. It’s a tad tight as-is, but it already feels pretty comfortable, and I like the look—especially the taper and flexibility compared to the factory bracelet. I also talk through a small hiccup: the clasp situation wasn’t exactly what I expected, and I’ll need to figure out how to remove/install that pin setup. I’m going to wear this for a few days (maybe a week) and report back once I’ve got real time on wrist.
