Welcome to Wrong Time Watch—I'm Kevin, and in this video I’m walking through my German watch collection… which is basically not a “collection” anymore. At one point I had at least a dozen German watches, maybe 20 (I honestly lost track): multiple Sinn 104s, a Sinn 105, and a whole run of brands like Damasko, Stowa, Antea, and even a Laco Chemnitz. But over time I realized a lot of those pieces just weren’t getting wrist time, so I sold most of them off. By the time I filmed this, I was down to two: a Sinn U50 (tegimented) and my Hanhart Pioneer Preventor HD12—which I’d already sold and was about to ship out. I talk through why I’m letting the Hanhart go even though I genuinely like it, with my only real complaint being the domed crystal picking up too much reflection. Then I get into the Sinn U50: super cool, tough as nails, 500m water resistance, and very “tactical” looking—but it’s also almost $4,000 now, and I’m not convinced it’s worth that without improvements to the clasp and bracelet comfort. Overall, it’s a snapshot of where I’m at in the watch journey: trimming down, wearing what I actually wear, and trying to find that sweet spot—maybe even that 12-watch collection I’ve talked about for years.
