Welcome to Wrong Time Watch—I'm Kevin, and in this video I’m checking out the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical Power Reserve 40mm. This one was sent over on loan from Saltzman’s Watches, so I couldn’t size the bracelet for a proper on-wrist review, but I did go through the specs and the details that matter. You’re getting a domed sapphire crystal with AR coating (and it doesn’t distort the dial, which is kind of interesting), a clean white dial with printed text, and a power reserve indicator at the 9 o’clock position—which I think is a great feature on a hand-wound watch. Inside is Hamilton’s H23 (Powermatic 80 family) with an 80-hour power reserve and a 6 beats-per-second sweep. The case and bracelet are stainless steel with a bead-blasted finish, quick-release pins, solid end links, and full articulation on the bracelet, which should make it pretty comfortable. You also get 100 meters of water resistance, a signed push/pull crown that’s nice and large for winding, and a dual-pusher clasp with three micro-adjust positions. I also did a quick size and lume check, including a comparison next to my SKX for reference. The handset lume hangs in there nicely, but the indices are small, so don’t expect dive-watch performance. I’m honestly kind of tempted to buy one, but I already own the 38mm and I think I like that size a little more.
