We FINALLY Sold Our Boat And Bought...

We've been dreaming of this day for some time now and to finally get the news not only that the boat has found the perfect new owner, but also that the cash has hit our bank account. Leaving our Penelope in a foreign country after our unexpected change of heart was a complicated decision for me and Lou. On the one hand, we knew that we clearly saw a different future for ourselves than the one we had been working towards, and then, on the other hand, all this effort we had poured into Penelope... well it had to stay aboard. We knew we wouldn't get reimbursed for those 100s of hours and 1,000s of dollars (even when we were putting them in winter after winter). That's the thing with working on old boats... you're working on them for yourself because it's not really an appreciating asset. But the dream comes together when you find someone who can see that hard work, appreciate it, and give it another life, and that's just how this story unfolded. We are so happy that Penelope is going to keep on going in her bluewater sailing adventures, but we're also so happy that it's not going to be us on the boat!!! Instead, we've found a life that embraces all the things we love and we're just beyond grateful to get to share all the ups and downs along the way with you.
