This is a big dream of ours, a long time in the making (over 3 years!) and this step was incredible to watch. A big thanks to Mike and his crew for making this happen, we are so happy to be building our house with good friends we trust! This is a system of building we learned from Mike after he built his house and workshop like this. The welded steel frame allows a tiny crew of guys to assemble pretty large structures quickly, which is an added bonus in our region with the weather we have up on the mountain. I really love the massive clearspans you get and the psychological faith I have in this type of structure standing up to big winds and all of the surprises mother nature throws our way.
