We Built An Off Grid Tiny House (from start to finish)

When Lou pitched me the idea of living in a wall tent for the summer, I have to admit I was a little skeptical. We have experienced a lot of different off grid living situations (van life, boat life, and a cottage in the jungle), but a tent seemed a little crazy. But this wall tent is so much more than I could have dreamed of! It really is more like a tiny house than a tent, and all of the details make it feel like a real home. I can't wait to make memories together as a family here.  Living off-grid does provide a bunch of challenges, but with the solar system that Lou installed and the fact that this property came with a well, I think we'll be in pretty good shape as we begin our homesteading journey. We have so much to learn and so much to build, but this wall tent feels like the perfect tiny house for us to start this new adventure.  This video literally would not be here if it weren't for Lou. He put in countless hours on this build while I was pregnant and also the first month postpartum with our son Max. We're so used to building things as a team, but for this project, he got creative and figured out a way to make due mostly on his own, not only building this dreamy wall tent but also filming and editing the entire thing by himself. I am so grateful and proud of all his hard work and feel so lucky to have this man in my life. And also so thankful for all of you and your support as we grew our family and took the time we needed to bond and figure out this whole parenthood thing.
