While we might have spent our first summer on the boat enjoying life as coastal cruisers, we have big dreams of becoming blue water sailors, sailing our tiny home to the far corners of the earth. And this video shows you our secret weapon to make ocean crossings possible - our Hydrovane! The install is definitely a tricky one as we did it in the water on a mooring rather than at a dock or on land, but I think it was well worth the effort. We weren't able to find any local marinas that allowed construction, but luckily some new friends lent us their mooring in a quiet little bay with minimal swell--or so we thought!
