We wanted to share all the details of our off grid set up with you now that it’s finished. It took roughly 2 months to build the wall tent + platform (with lots of breaks to snuggle our new baby, of course) and turned out much more like a tiny house than a camping tent. It has a full kitchen, composting toilet, outdoor shower, fridge/freezer, enough solar power to edit these videos and is nestled in the woods in Upstate NY. It really feels like this is the best adventure we’ve had yet, and it’s just beginning! Lou and I have been dreaming of our own property for so many years and now that we have this incredible base camp to work from it feels like we can start tackling the long list of projects that lie ahead.
