This has been one of the most rewarding farming projects we've ever done. After almost 2 years of learning and growing, Lou finally was ready to edit this video and share the entire process of forest grown log mushrooms with you. He explains our process step by step, from cutting down the trees to inoculating the logs. It's actually a pretty simple project, there's a bit of a learning curve, as with all things, but as far as growing stuff goes, it's surprisingly easy! Shiitake was our first choice because they are a little more forgiving to grow and we like the taste, but now that we have this under our belt we're hoping to expand our operation to include some other varieties.
