My ride-or-die top pick is Maison Francis Kurkdjian 724, which I almost gave up on at first… until I bought a bottle and realized I was missing out. It’s creamy, soapy, slightly citrusy, slightly floral, and balanced in a way that feels mega luxuriously clean (and yes, it projects). I also cover the crisp, starched-shirt energy of Byredo Blanche Absolu, the heavenly powder-detergent freshness of Laza Primordial Kuru/Première, the Nivea-lotion clean creaminess of Myth Nude, and the spa-oils-meets-soapy-clean heartiness of Versace Crystal Noir/“Emerald” (you know I don’t love the bottle, but I love the scent). I wrap with an honorable mention: Frédéric Malle Acne Studios—pricey, but robust, creamy-clean, and worth exploring.
