I focused on classics and crowd-pleasers: the kind of scents that feel safe to gift, but still smell beautiful and put-together. I walk you through five mass-appealing options for different vibes—everything from a spectacular herbal vanilla that feels “Jackie O” classy, to a clean, crisp everyday signature, to a bright pretty spring floral, to a warm sexy musky-rose-plum that I love to overspray. I also toss in two more old-school classics for the mature/nostalgia crowd (including one that can be hard to find), then I share what I’m personally buying: a fresh bottle of the original Light Blue for me, and Shalimar for my mom (I can’t wear it, but she loves it and it smells great on her).
