Day 4–7 of my Japan babymoon is all about slowing down in Hokkaido and just enjoying the cozy little moments. We checked into the JR Tower Hotel and I had to show you guys the room—super clean, very “Japan hotel” vibes, and the view is honestly so pretty. They even had all the small essentials laid out (toothbrush, cotton, rubber bands, clips), which I always appreciate because it makes settling in so easy. We also used a luggage shipping service from Osaka to Hokkaido and it arrived earlier than expected—such a lifesaver if you don’t want to drag heavy bags through public transport. From there, we did a mix of food, shopping, and day trips. We went out for a traditional Japanese breakfast (I really feel it’s worth paying extra for, especially with that view), then headed to Otaru Dream Beach and Sakaimachi area where we just wandered, explored, and even stumbled into a random preserved heritage-style auditorium which was pretty cool. We ended the stretch with a visit to the Nikka Whisky Distillery—everyone was tired, but it was still such a fun stop, and I was curious about trying something smoky… but not too smoky. Overall, it’s a real-life, slightly tired-but-happy babymoon diary—one cozy day at a time.
