Wizard of Oz (aka WOO) – Mt Penn, Reading, PA [FTR Series]

If you’re planning on riding your mountain bike at Mt Penn, put the Wizard of Oz (aka WOO) on your list of must ride trails. It’s fast and flowy, and looks like nothing else on the mountain. Wizard of Oz https://www.trailforks.com/trails/wizard-of-oz-87509/ TRAIL DETAIL: According to Trailforks the Wizard of Oz starts at the Angora Fruit Farm. However, we have always considered the actual start to be off the Angora Road Access Path. It’s labeled as a blue flow trail and is about a mile in length. If you want to rip it, you will have to be on your pedals, but watch out for some of the tight twists. The very end the trail will punch up so make sure you leave a little something left in the gas tank for that. If you park at the Antietam Lake lot this is a great way to finish the ride. And if you park at the Fruit Farm it’s a great way to start the ride. Side note, you can ride the trail in either direction, but I definitely think it’s better riding it from West to East.
