We couldn’t keep up! Met some fast guys while mountain biking at Glen Park – Just Ride Ep. 24

Glen Park in Stroudsburg, PA is a favorite riding spot among many enduro mountain bike racers. As one of the stops on the Maxxis Eastern States Cup, there were a few riders pre-riding the course. Having never ridden there before, Dan and I ran into two guys, Evan and Sean, who were gracious enough to show us around a few of the stages. Little did we know these boys were fast! With plenty of drops and jumps this place will definitely keep you on your toes. If you are planning on racing this course, I would highly recommend pre-riding the trails. As our buddy Luis informed us, knowing the correct trail speed makes all the difference in the world. ROUTE SUGGESTIONS: Unfortunately, this place is a spaghetti maze of trails, and we got turned around quite a few times. I would not recommend following our route. Instead, check out Trailforks and find someone’s race runs and do your best to follow that. The climb to the top is about 500ft. For the most part it’s graded quite nicely until you get to the last 50ft, which gets loose and steep. In total our ride ended up being 15.5 miles and 3100 ft.
