I got a chance to demo the Specialized Turbo Levo Pro for 3 days and I was completely blown away! This was my first experience with an eMTB and I was excited to see what all the hype was about and it did not disappoint. On Day 1 Dan and I took our demo e-bikes to Trexeler Nature Preserve to session the jumps on the Return of Brian's and Jack O Diamonds. Day 2 and 3 we headed to Mt Penn to hit the Skyline jumps. The progression we achieved over those 3 days was incredible! The e-MTB allowed us to do lap after lap effortlessly climbing the trail, and inspiring confidence on the jumps. It was also very stable in the turns and delivered the power smoothly when needed. We spent most of our time in Eco and Trail mode (turbo was unnecessarily fast, lol), and switching between them was simple to figure out and easy to change on the fly. The battery life was also a pleasant surprise. We rode for 2-3 hrs each day and finished every ride with over 50% of battery life still left. The geometry and suspension were spot on, and even though we kept it slacked out in front and high in the back the whole time, it was nice to know you could adjust those settings with a flip chip. However, I did find myself struggling with the weight of the bike. As a smaller rider I found it difficult to maneuver the bike in technical sections. And because the power is pedal actuated it was hard to modulate the breaks during precision moves. I was not able to pair the bike with the Specialized App, so I was unable to dial in the power settings, but I would have liked to experiment some more with that.
