In Part 4 of my Top Dog Mom Essentials 2025 series, I’m sharing the stuff that genuinely made my daily life with dogs easier, more joyful, and more enriched—plus a few “real life” favorites that help me function as a busy dog mom. We start with the PupOclock subscription box, where I’m the in-house K9 enrichment expert. Every month I create enrichment activities that kids can do with their dogs, and I love that the box includes a bandana, a SodaPup toy, a real “League of Pups” trading card, and guides that teach responsibility, positivity, and accountability. Then I demo a couple of budget-friendly treat-dispensing balls I’ve been using with Bert (who’s 13.5 and still discovering new favorite toys, which I love). One is under $6, and I explain the tradeoff: it’s a great deal, but it’s a little tedious to fill. I also review the Woof Pupsicle, which is a really innovative frozen-licking toy that keeps treats lasting longer—but you do need the matching mold, so it’s better for people who don’t mind a little planning ahead. Finally, I share two of my non-dog essentials: my Philips sunrise alarm clock (worth every freaking penny for gentle 5–6 AM wakeups) and my UPF 50 Solbari sun hat for protecting my face on dog walks. And because this year was heavy—especially losing Lucy to cancer—I also walk you through the affordable skincare routine that helped me feel like myself again.
