In this video, I walk you through how to create (and actually sell) an online course in WordPress using Masteriyo LMS — and yes, I’m doing it on the free version. I start from a fresh WordPress install, install the plugin, and go through the setup wizard where you can pick what kind of creator you are and enable features like payments and multiple courses. I also show the starter templates (Gutenberg and Elementor support), the auto-created LMS pages (account, checkout, learn, etc.), and what the course archive + single course pages look like on the front end. Then we build a real course: add a title, description, highlights, a featured image, and create sections with lessons (video and text). For video lessons, I demo YouTube as a source, including timestamps (intro, main content, outro — you know the drill). After that, I add a quiz with true/false, single choice, and multiple choice questions (all available in the free version), and show the student experience: progress tracking, collapsible curriculum, and light/dark mode. Finally, I set a paid price, configure offline payments (including file upload for proof), run a test checkout, approve the order in the dashboard, and show the learner getting access instantly after completion.
