After that, I install WordPress from the hosting panel and jump straight into the WordPress dashboard. Next, I handle design the practical way: I install Neve (my go-to for this kind of project) and import a starter site that’s optimized for blogging, then I customize it using the block editor and the WordPress Customizer (colors, typography, header, blog archive layout, and single post layout). Once the site looks right, I lock in the key settings that people often miss—like switching permalinks to “Post name” and making sure “Discourage search engines” is unchecked so Google can actually index the site. Finally, I add the core plugins I use for spam protection, cookies, extra blocks + contact forms, speed (caching + image optimization), SEO setup, and backups—then I create essential pages and publish the first posts so your blog is ready to promote.
